Am I a Candidate for EVO ICL?
Candidates should also have realistic expectations about what EVO ICL can achieve. A consultation with your eye doctor will confirm whether EVO ICL is the right fit.
What Is EVO ICL?
The EVO ICL is an additive lens placed inside the eye to help correct nearsightedness and astigmatism. It’s made of a material called Collamer, which comes from collagen and is uniquely biocompatible with the eye, meaning it won’t cause dry eyes. It’s also the only reversible and removable vision correction procedure available, and it does not require removing any tissue from the cornea. The EVO ICL sits behind your iris and in front of your natural lens. On procedure day, you’ll receive numbing and dilating eye drops, and your surgeon will create a small incision in the cornea to insert the lens and position it behind the iris. There are no stitches, both eyes are typically completed the same day, and the procedure takes about 30 minutes.
