Insurance Follow-Up Specialist

Insurance Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for providing timely and efficient follow-up with all payer types for all unpaid claims.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma required, some college preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years’ billing and insurance follow-up experience in a healthcare setting, such as a physician’s office or surgery center

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong commitment to patient/customer experience
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and display data in appropriate format and keep accurate records
  • Excellent organizational and math skills with attention to detail
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of medical reimbursement policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance claim procedures common to medical billing and accounts receivable operations

Patient Services Representative (PSR)

This individual is responsible for customer service, scheduling all patient appointments in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring the patient feels welcome to the practice and continues coming here to receive top quality care, and monitoring physician-scheduling templates, as necessary, to maximize efficiency.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Customer Service background and Contact Center Experience is required
  • Two-year minimum of experience in medical practice with knowledge of insurances preferred

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong commitment to customer service and the patient experience
  • Ability to utilize multi-line phone system
  • Ability to effectively decipher calls from patients to ensure appropriate scheduling
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of dual screens
  • Empathetic personality, giving special attention to patients’ needs and concerns

Surgery Center Medical Assistant

Serves as support personnel in the Surgery Center’s pre-op/post-op areas, including assisting with patient admissions, patient procedures, care and maintenance of procedural instrumentation, discharging patients, chart preparation, medical records, medication administration, assisting providers and other personnel as needed, and other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • BLS required.
  • Completion of Medial Assistant certification program or Certified Nurses Aid program.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Professional attitude and above average communication skills
  • Maintains awareness of the OR schedule to assure effective, safe and functional environment
  • Keeps work areas clean, tidy and stocked, free of soiled equipment and supplies.
  • Assumes responsibility for competency of practice and takes initiative for professional development and continuing education
  • Utilizes aseptic and sterile technique
  • Ability to assess, prioritize, plan and implement patient care within the scope of practice

Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

This individual is responsible for performing an extensive number of data collection functions, as delegated by the physician, to allow for proper, professional diagnosis of patients’ conditions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma, some college preferred.
  • Two-years of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant.
  • Medical experience preferred, but not required.
  • Valid CPR certification.

  • Empathetic personality giving attention to patient’s needs and concerns.
