Certified Ophthalmic Assistant

This individual is responsible for performing an extensive number of data-collection functions, as delegated by the physician, to allow for proper, professional diagnosis of patients’ conditions.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year experience as an Ophthalmic Technician
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ophthalmic Assistant skills as outlined by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work on a team.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Empathetic personality giving attention to patients’ needs and concerns.

Medical Assistant – Fluent in Vietnamese

This position is primarily responsible for assisting with patient admissions, patient procedures, medical records, assisting providers and other personnel as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One-year experience as an Medical Assistant.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese. 
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Identifies vital patient care needs and prioritizes accordingly.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patients.
  • Uses knowledge of medical record policy and procedures.
  • Keeps work areas clean, tidy and properly stocked.
  • Assist provider with procedures as directed.
  • Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
  • Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records.
  • Empathetic personality giving attention to patients’ needs and concerns.

Physician Liaison

This position is responsible for promoting core and specialty services to the physician community. This position provides support services in all functional areas of sales and marketing including the utilization of services, cultivating and strengthening referral activities by implementing and promoting professional services.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of experience in marketing and sales within the medical field
  • Or Associate’s Degree and 5-7 years of comparable medical field experience
Essential Skills and Abilities:
  • Complete face-to-face sales meetings with physicians, schedulers, practice managers, and medical staff from referring groups to ensure understanding, as well as to close business, ensuring that obstacles are identified and minimized.
  • Effectively manage referral territory, conducting office visits that include:
    • Education on services offered, enhancement and new advances
    • Offering excellent customer service
    • Increasing referral percentages/volume and expand services utilized
  • Interpret current physician referral patterns, trends and financial margins, ensuring that sales resources are optimized and make suggestions on how to improve.
  • Provide tours for visiting referring doctors as well as coordinate events including surgical viewings, lunches, Continuing Education classes and more.
  • Assist in preparing marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
